$0.00

Electropollshing is applied in the finishing process of jewelry for several purposes:
- Complete replacement of mechanical polishing
- In combination with mechanical polishing such as in the finishing of cast objects
- For removal of films after pickling.

Its main advantages over conventional polishing are in its being a faster process, no manual work being involved and its faithfulness to original contours and easier recovery of the gold. The paper discusses the principles of the process, the solutions and equipment used and applications in jewelry manufacturing.
