1989 - A Sample Training Program for the OSHA Hazard Communications Standard

The presentation will consist of a typical training program for employees in the jewelry industry as required under the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard - 29 CFR 1910.1200 July 18, 1986 for SIC 20-39 and expanded to the Non-manufacturing Segment on June 24, 1988. The speaker will be covering the following employer requirements: employer statement, employee responsibilities, material safety data sheets (MSDS) form 174, labeling, protective equipment and training recommendations. A typical, commercially available training system will be utilized to demonstrate in-house hazardous material and personal protection identification systems with provisions to document the training.
