A basic review of the Physical Metallurgy of Cold Working and Annealing is presented. A literature review on the Cold Working and Annealing of standard yellow and nickel white gold jewelry alloys is also given. “Orange Peel” surface is cited as a contributor to poor quality and cost of wrought jewelry. The objective of the presentation is to provide the information necessary to make intelligent decisions regarding the manufacture of high quality wrought jewelry at reasonable cost.
