1990 - Surface Finish Effects on Color Measurements

$0.00

Effects associated with the surface finish conditions on color of jewelry alloys are studied using European standards as test samples. It is shown that only polished surface exhibits a really true color. However, for all practical purposes 600 grit sand paper ground surface can be accepted as a standard surface condition for both visual observations and spectrophotometric measurements. Authors consider several practical aspects of colorimetric procedure applied to wrought jewelry alloys.
