A well-carved model makes production easier. The knowledgeable wax carver can quickly create jewelry designs that are efficient to mold, wax inject, cast and finish. This paper describes the steps that produce hard wax models for jewelry production. A detailed procedure for bas-relief carving in hard wax is presented.
