1999 - The Effect of Additives on the High Temperature Chemistry of Investment Materials

$0.00

Work with additives that quickly remove carbon from investment molds could reduce energy costs and how these additives affect the strength of the investment. Measurements of investment strength and permeability at casting temperature are reported. The effect of expansion and contraction of investment on mold filling is discussed. The reactions and reaction temperatures of calcium sulfate, plaster of paris, gypsum, quartz, cristobalite and carbon are given from references and experiments.
