New and innovative designs can be created from plastic sheet thermoformed into attractive three-dimensional jewelry items or into parts used for master models of production jewelry. Thermoformed plastic is inexpensive and can be produced on low-cost equipment. This paper explores the materials and their properties, describes how the process works and shows how master models produced this way can save significant time and money as compared to other techniques.
