The authors compared two 18k yellow gold alloys for casting: a silicon alloy and a fine grain alloy. They monitored the variations of mechanical, physical, chemical and technological characteristics related to the number of castings, adding the casting scraps. The reintegration has been set up as 50% in weight according to the quantity to cast; six castings with the consequent scraps addition were compared.
