This paper will explore the boundaries of ethical representations in our industry and the results of pushing past these boundaries. We will discuss the ramifications of using misleading names and descriptive terminology for gems. Especially important is the abuse and misrepresentation of professional titles and credentials. Actual lawsuits and court records will be used to illustrate the legal consequences of unethical behavior.
