The purpose of this presentation is to provide a comprehensive survey of CAD software and its growing use and impact in jewelry design. The presentation will discuss the enormous benefits that CAD technology offers with both solid and surface jewelry modeling and define much of the terminology relating to CAD. It will also review some of the CAD programs available on the market today and compare their cost, learning ease, user friendliness, compatibility with other programs and CAM machines.
