Can accelerated testing techniques be used in real-world applications to predict how jewelry will age with time? This paper will present some real-world examples of how multi-gas chamber testing can be used to review how various jewelry designs will age under normal aging conditions. It will also show the effects of different packaging and protective schemes for jewelry in storage and in shipment. Previous papers outlined accelerated aging techniques; this paper shows how these techniques can be used to obtain useful information for product design, aging, and protective packaging schemes.
