2015 - Thinking Within the Box
We have all heard the term "outside the box." Conventional outside-the-box thinking in the business world often refers to brainstorming sessions that can reach far beyond the core strengths of a particular business. Our businesses have core strengths, and we are good at many things. Taking your business outside the box to new and potentially non-jewelry ventures can be exciting but also costly. This paper will look at ways and opportunities that allow us to grow our businesses by staying within our core strength. An open-minded, no-preconceived-notions approach will be used. Various techniques in use by others to modify or eliminate steps or processes to improve efficiency or new product development will be reviewed.
